People: Provimi appoints new country manager Italy
Ercole Pavesi has taken on the role of country manager for Provimi in Italy, part of Cargill’s Premix Nutrition business (CPN).
Based at the Cargill office in Fiorenzuola D’Arda, north of Parma in northern Italy, Ercole Pavesi will lead the country sales team of four technical sales managers. The team will promote Provimi’s swine, ruminant and poultry product portfolio and services to feed mills and producers across the country but particularly in the more densely populated livestock areas, in the north of Italy.
“Besides premixes, I am keen to further develop our specialty product market for CPN in Italy,” he says. “I can see great potential for the company’s range on dairy, beef and swine units throughout the country and particularly for its new products and developments.”
A graduate in agricultural science and specialising in animal nutrition from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza, Ercole spent six years with Novus International as sales specialist in Italy for speciality products. He then established a new nutrition company in the Italian market and more recently has been sales manager in Italy for a subsidiary of the Invivo Group, again focusing on speciality products for all animal species.
