Anti-AI fabric to be launched

15-09-2006 | |

The latest development in the fight against bird flu is a new fabric proven to block the spread of bird flu by 99.9% within 10 minutes of exposure.

The fabric, developed by Japanese company Shikibo and the Japanese National Institute of Animal Health, reportedly is still effective against avian influenza after 50 washings.
The product, called Flutect, will be available in 2007 in the form of uniforms for poultry house workers, masks, filters, down jackets, lab-coats and other items.
