Bangladesh bird flu, thousands of birds culled

More than 2,300 chickens have been culled at a poultry farm in Savar, Bangladesh following the detection of bird flu.

Savar is located about 30 km of the Bangladesh capital of Dhaka. It  has been reported some chickens had died at the poultry farm in the last few days.

When samples of the dead chickens were sent to central disease investigation laboratory in the capital, bird flu was detected.
