Biofarma: New feed plant supports poultry in Argentina

Biofarma S.A., Impextraco Latin America’s distributor for the anticoccidial product line, which was recently introduced in the Argentinean market, has inaugurated a new production plant in Río Quarto.

This plant, with a total surface of 18,200 square meters, is designed for production of special feed and concentrates for young birds, as well as piglets. The plant’s modern technology is unique in its kind in Argentina and Latin America.
Biofarma, with 25 years of experience as a supplier of premixes, feed and services, aims to focus on quality and safety within the production process, and thus traceability of all its products is, according to the company, ensured.
The continuous growth in the poultry and swine sectors allowed new investments to produce an additional 4,000 t per month to attend to the domestic market, as well as exporting to Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Peru. Argentina, with a population of 40 mln people, produces 1.1 mln t of poultry meat and almost 350,000 t of swine meat.
