Bird flu in central Vietnam

A new bird flu outbreak has been reported in a central province of Vietnam, Nghe, responsible for the death of approx. 1,000 birds.

According to reports, the dead poultry have been tested positive for the bird flu virus strain H5N1.
Local authorities have established a protection zone to prevent the virus from spreading.
