Charoen Pokphand Indonesia acquire six companies
The Indonesian affiliate of Thai poultry giant Charoen Pokphand plans to acquire six poultry-related companies in Indonesia: four chicken breeder companies, one feed mill and one distribution company.
The Jakarta Post reported that Charoen Pokphand Indonesia will acquire full ownership of the poultry breeding operations of Satwa Utama Raya, Istana Satwa Borneo, Vista Agung Kencana, and 50% of Cipta Khatulistiwa Mandiri.
Furthermore feedmiller Vista Grain and Fiesta processed food distributor Prima Food will come under CP ownership.
It is expected that the transactions to be fully realised in July 2007. Acquisition cost total Rp 165.20 billion (US$18.45 million).
