DSM launches new nutritional website

10-02-2009 | |

DSM nutritional products has launched a new website which provides a comprehensive overview of its Crina® portfolio of flavourings and digestive stimulants for livestock production.

The new DSM Crina website provides an introduction to the product and the company itself, and introduces its range of Eubiotic products.

Eubiotics offer a new approach to supporting gut health in ruminants, poultry and pigs. The current trend toward the replacement of in-feed antibiotic growth promoters has encouraged researchers to develop the potential of alternative feed additives such as organic acids, essential oils and probiotics.

The Dutch-Swiss company refers to these alternative additives as Eubiotics. The term comes from the Greek Eubiosis, which refers to a healthy balance of micro-flora in the gastrointestinal tract.

Variety

The new Crina portfolio is available in a variety of forms for specific livestock categories: ruminants, poultry, piglets, finishing pigs and sows.

Dr Christophe Paulus, new business development manager – animal health and product manager for the company’s portfolio, comments: “Demand for Eubiotic products is increasing as these natural digestive stimulants for livestock production become better understood. The new website brings together for the first time a wide range of product and company information which we hope will be useful to customers wishing to learn more about the benefits of these innovative feed additives.”
