Earth tremor and giant chicken egg

The owners of a flock of chickens in the UK believe that the tremor during the previous night shook the chicken into laying an extra large egg.

The Lingdale couple have kept chickens for 12 months and originally suspected fowl play when they found the egg.

According to the couple, this particular egg is twice the size of one that you would find in the supermarket. “We were stunned,” said Phil. “We have had big ones before but this one is an absolute stonker.”

The egg has a circumference of 17cm and is over 8cm long.
