World Poultry Show will be a highlight at the 2008 Eurotier show. Hall structure will be optimised to ease visitor flow and enhance exhibitor presence.
With a record 1,500 exhibitors and more than 116,000 visitors EuroTier set new standards in 2006. This reflected the positive mood amongst animal husbandry farmers, and also highlighted international trends in product and service innovations for the animal husbandry sector.
In 2008, EuroTier will be the only international exhibition in Europe for the animal husbandry sector offering a complete package covering production of cattle, pigs and poultry and aquaculture. Large farming businesses planning substantial investments, high-volume buyers, R&D professionals and veterinarians form a major part of the visitor base.
The “World Poultry Showâ€
The World Poultry Show is a major attraction for the international poultry sector. Following the successful World Poultry Show at EuroTier 2004, the event returns to Hanover in 2008. This means that EuroTier will be the only international exhibition in Europe offering a complete information package for the poultry sector. At the same time EuroTier’s multi-animal concept offers successful synergies for poultry industry visitors since the offering in the general area – animal health, feed, climate technology – will be larger than at any other exhibition.
Veterinary Surgeons’ Conference with a joint “International Animal Health Eventâ€
For the first time, the bpt (the German association of veterinary practitioners) will hold its annual conference as well as its professional veterinary exhibition at the same time as EuroTier and will be hosting these events within the Hanover Exhibition Grounds.
Both events will be attended by veterinary surgeons specialising in cattle, pigs and poultry. The annual meeting consists of a broad range of seminars and presentations and will now also include the opportunity for vets to explore the latest developments in the various sectors at EuroTier.
Veterinary surgeons from outside Germany visiting EuroTier will have free access to the veterinary medicine exhibition, which is part of the Veterinary Surgeons’ Conference.
The DLG and the bpt plan an “International Animal Health Event†on 13 November, 2008. This will be a meeting point for veterinary surgeons from all over the world.
New layout for bigger, better EuroTier The forecast for EuroTier 2008 is still further expansion in dairy and beef cattle, pig production and the egg and broiler sectors. EuroTier-organiser DLG is reorganising the event’s layout within the Hanover Exhibition Grounds into new halls south of the traditional ones. The objective is to offer visitors quicker and more efficient ways of finding exhibitors and product information.
