The German agricultural society (DLG) expects approx. 1,700 exhibitors from all over the world to attend EuroTier, to be held in Hanover, Germany, 16-19 November 2010.

The animal production show, focusing on pigs, poultry, dairy & beef and aqua, is one of the largest in the world. A total of 1,100 companies have already confirmed their presence. About 150 new companies have signed up for the event.

In 2008, a total of 1,764 direct exhibitors were present in Hanover, attracting 130,000 visitors in 4 days. In total, 22,000 visitors came from abroad.

In comparison to earlier years, there is growth in the themes animal feed, animal health, and veterinary medicine.

Poultry sector

The next World Poultry Show, within EuroTier, will take place in 2012, so the poultry presence may be somewhat restricted. For poultry producers, the majority of information will be related to more general themes, like animal feed, animal health and bio-energy.

Veterinarians

The German annual conference for practicing veterinarians, called ‘Veterinary Medicine’, will also be held in Hanover, jointly with EuroTier. An ‘International Animal Health Event’ will be organised by the DLG and the German organisation for practicing veterinarians (BPT) for veterinarians from all over the world.

In addition, ‘BioEnergy Decentral’ can be found at the show. Here, there will be a focus on sustainable energy, with 300 exibitiors. A future forum, with modern innovative concepts, completes the exhibition.
