International agricultural show EuroTier, held at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover, Germany, 16-19 November, will have a record number of at least 1,819 exhibitors at the show.

Show organiser German Agricultural Society (DLG) reports so far the exhibitors come from 48 countries.

Exhibitors from abroad
Altogether 724 exhibitors from outside Germany are taking part. By far the largest contingent with 134 companies comes from the Netherlands, followed by France with 90 companies. Other large groups of participants come from Denmark (56), China (50), Italy (50), the United Kingdom (48), Belgium (40), Spain (40) and Austria (38).

The DLG said the high international participation level of 40% is a clear signal for the growing global orientation of the industry and agribusiness with its worldwide linkages.

The DLG expects more than 120,000 visitors.

The 2010 edition of the show will include many side events, like the TopTierTreff, focusing on top cattle genetics, a special forum on ‘Dairy Cow Fertility’, a special forum on ‘Sow well-being – in group housing’, BioEnergy Decentral, a Veterinary Exhibition, an International Animal Health Event, a Pig Event, a Dairy Event, an East European Conference, the Young Farmers Day and a Chinese-European Pig Conference

Poultry
In agreement with the international poultry industry, the next World Poultry Show at EuroTier will be held in the year 2012. That is why the number of poultry sector exhibitors at this year’s EuroTier will be somewhat more moderate.
