Farm Health Planning for poultry producers

30-04-2008 | |

Interactive workshops for poultry producers on Farm Health Planning will be a new feature at this year’s Pig and Poultry Fair, 13-14 May at the NAC, Stoneleigh, UK.

These workshops will be of interest to all poultry producers. Vet Michael Clark will guide those involved through writing a farm health plan from scratch and then putting that plan into practice.
“We will help producers who may only just have started to think about health planning, those who are already in the process and those who have been following a plan for a while,” says Clark. “One of the most important points about a farm health plan is that it must be regularly reviewed and kept current. Ideally it should be reviewed every crop cycle, at about 41 days for broilers, for example, or 50 weeks for layers.”
