Firm recalls turkey products for possible Listeria contamination

Diestel Turkey Ranch in California is voluntarily recalling about 6,907 pounds (3133 kg) of ready-to-eat turkey products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The turkey products were produced on 20 April, 2007, and were distributed to retail establishments in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

The problem involving Listeria was discovered through routine FSIS microbiological testing. FSIS has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of this product.
