The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has launched a new forum to discuss the welfare of animals during transport.
This initiative aims to promote an exchange of information on the issue with participation from all of those with an interest in animal transportation.
The FTA operates over 200,000 goods vehicles, which is almost half of the UK fleet. A large numbers of FTA members are engaged in the transport of animals.
“We hope that the forum will provide a practical and interesting exchange of information, news and know-how from throughout the animal transport community,” says Peter Luck from the FTA.
The group will promote the active interchange of information and keep up-to-date with the latest legislation and equipment affecting the welfare of animals during transport.
