Despite the tight situation in animal husbandry, the intentions to invest in farmyard operations in Germany have risen and are higher than in any other European country.
This is according to the figures from Trendmonitor for autumn 2012, organised by the German Agricultural Society (DLG). The results were made public during the EuroTier press conference in Göttingen, Germany.
The expectations for the future of German and European farmers offer a divided picture, explained Dr Reinhard Grandke, CEO for the DLG. While farm managers in Germany and France are starting the next few months more confidently than they were at the time of the spring survey, there are clouds in the horizon for the UK and Poland.
The DLG Trendmonitor is based on a survey of around 3,800 farmers from six European countries conducted every six months by the market research company Kleffmann on behalf of DLG.
