Graphic Packaging: New interactive labels

22-09-2008 | |

Graphic Packaging International has announced the first commercial application of its Snap2CTM interactive labels, allowing consumers to get product information by using mobile phones.

Reports state that Graphic Packaging launched its Snap2C technology on packaging developed for Springer Mountain Farms chicken products.
By using Graphic Packaging Snap2C interactive technology and camera-equipped mobile phones, it is possible for shoppers to scan on-pack graphic codes to immediately access product information, assembly instructions or participate in competitions or product surveys.
“Packaging has proven its ability to directly influence buying decisions. Using Snap2C enhancements on food, beverage and consumer product packaging is a breakthrough in delivering promotional messages directly to consumers. This packaging innovation provides a new level of retail convenience that can differentiate brands like Springer Mountain Farms,” said marketing manager of retail packaging solutions at Graphic Packaging, Charles Brignac.
