Hong Kong resumes Hungarian poultry imports

31-05-2007 | |

Hong Kong’s Centre for Food Safety has resumed processing applications for importing poultry and poultry products from Hungary, with immediate effect.

The Centre suspended processing of applications from Hungary following a bird flu outbreak in a poultry farm in the country in January.
“In view of the control measures taken by the Republic of Hungary and the fact that there are no other cases of avian influenza reported in the country, we decide to resume processing of applications,” said a spokesman for the Centre.
