MHP increases poultry production by 7% in 2011

MHP, one of the largest poultry producers in Ukraine, increased the volume of poultry production in 2011 to 384 thousand tonnes, up 7% more than 2010.

MHP plans to further increase production of poultry in 2012 by up to 390-395 thousand tonnes, the company said in a statement.

“The company plans to further increase the production of poultry. In 2012, MPH will launch a new poultry farm in Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region, which will be the largest investment project of the company. This year the production rate of the company will increase by another 10-15 thousand tonnes. In 2013, the new complex will start to operate in normal mode, and by 2015 it will be gradually launched the first phase of the project with a total capacity of 220 thousand tonnes of chicken a year,” said a representative of the company.

According to the press service, in 2010 the company produced 360 thousand tonnes of poultry, with 5% intended for export, and in 2011 the production volume reached 384 thousand tonnes, and exports almost doubled.
