Moscow’s biggest poultry producer plans pig breeding expansion

Moscow’s largest poultry producer, Mosselprom, has started a US$96 million expansion into pig breeding.

According to Mosselprom deputy general director, Vadim Kamashev, the company is planning to produce its first pork next year and is acquiring 30,000 hectares of land to grow feed wheat.


The company also plans an initial listing of its shares abroad in 2008 or 2009.
