Thailand’s agriculture minister has announced that H5N1 bird flu has been detected in northern Thailand. This is country’s first case in 10 months.
One chicken was infected with the virus after 7 poultry deaths were recently reported in Sukhothai province at a rural home where a family was raising 17 chickens.
It was the first case of bird flu in Thailand since January, when two other outbreaks were reported.
