Meyn Food Processing Technology have announced the appointment of Han Defauwes as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer by the Supervisory Board.
Defauwes will succeed Han van der Broek who managed the company since 1999 under a wide variety of business conditions, ranging from strong international growth to the crisis in 2009. He joined Meyn in 1998 and was lately active as Chief Operations Officer.
“His extensive experience in the poultry industry, knowledge of the company in combination with his drive and enthusiasm make him the perfect CEO for Meyn,” says former CEO Han van der
Broek.
Defauwes has said: “I am excited about the opportunity to lead Meyn. Meyn’s recognised
expertise and complete dedication to poultry processing has resulted in global leadership in
poultry processing solutions. The challenge ahead is to leverage that awareness and continue to
develop innovative solutions that the market and our customers require”.
Han van der Broek will remain member of the Board of Directors of Meyn and will focus on
various strategic projects and the company’s relocation. Already in 2010, the company
appointed Marco van Straaten as Chief Financial Officer.
