Bangladesh’s Department of Livestock in Gaibandha has vaccinated thousands of poultry birds under its post-flood rehabilitation programme.

Approximately 343,000 chickens and ducks have been vaccinated in the affected areas in the district over the last few days.
According to officials, the vaccination programme is a part of the Department’s measures to protect poultry birds from diseases, such as fowl pox, foul cholera and duck plague.
