S. Korea resumes poultry exports to Hong Kong

South Korea poultry has now been given access again to the Hong Kong market.

Fresh poultry exports to the region were banned following a low pathogenic avian influenza outbreak reported in December 2009.

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said Hong Kong has lifted its ban on chickens and ducks from the South Jeolla and South Chungcheong provinces.
