Sadia fires long term CEO

Brazilian meat processor Sadia has fired the company’s CEO, the Dow Jones has reported.

Gilberto Tomazoni, who had worked for Sadia for 27 years, will be replaced by Julio Cadoso de Lucena. No explanation was given for Tomazoni’s termination.

Sadia currently is working to integrate with Perdigao SA in a merger that formed Brasil Foods SA.
