Salmonella hospitalises 57 school children

An outbreak of salmonella has been reported a boarding school in Lipetsk in Russia.

According to the Ministry for Emergency Situations, 57 patients showing symptoms of salmonella poisoning were taken to the city hospital.
Of the 57 patients, 53 are children aged between seven and sixteen years old. The other four patients belong to the school personnel. So far, 39 patients have had the salmonella virus confirmed by laboratory tests.
Meanwhile, sanitary disinfecting measurers continue in the school building.
