The Poultry Cooperative Research Centre in Armidale Australia received during the World Poultry Congress for the second time a Scholarship Award from the Dutch Foundation of Poultry Science.
Four years ago CRC, which is located at the University of New England in New South Wales, received the award in the category Organisation and Industry and this year they got it in the category Education.

Dr. Mingan Choct accepted the price, worth €10,000, for the work CRC does to educate under- and postgraduates, the general public and school kids about poutry production.
The award for Research went to Prof. Dr. Jae Yong Han from the Seoel National University in Korea.
He focussed during more than twenty years on poultry genetics and reproductive physiology whereby he was engaged in research to better understanding germ cell biology in vivo and in vitro.
The award for Organisation and Industry was not presented because the applications did not satisfy the expectations of the jury, headed by Dr. Piet Simons of the Netherlands.
