AB Vista presented the findings from the International Phytase Summit (IPS) at a seminar held to coincide with Eurotier in Hanover, Germany, last November.  The International Phytase Summit, where the useof phytase and phytate in animal diets was discuseed, was held in Washington DC earlier this year

The German IPS seminar was enthusiastically attended by 60 delegates from across Europe. Guest speaker, Dr Ralf Greiner, acting head of the department of Food Technology and Bioprocess Engineering at the Max Rubner-Institute in Karlsruhe, Germany and a delegate at IPS opened the seminar. This was followed by presentations from Dr Mike Bedford, AB Vista’s research director, and Dr Rob ten Doeschate, AB Vista’s technical manager.  Additionally, Dr Ian Wellock from Premier Nutrition presented the new superdosing concept.

Commenting on the seminar, Dr Bedford said; “The seminar was well received by all who attended. The mixture of scientific research and practical application information made the speeches interesting for everyone present.”

Also commenting on the seminar, Dr Greiner, said; “This seminar illustrated the value of adding a phytase to the diet, and the resulting further costs savings that the feed industry can enjoy.”
