About 133 chickens have been culled in Badung district, Bali. It is believed that these chickens have caught avian influenza.

“It was done based on preliminary suspicion. We still have to get our suspicion confirmed by a laboratory test of samples of the chickens` blood in Jakarta,” said Made Madra, head of Badung district`s animal husbandry, marine and fisheries office, adding that the measures was taken after a number of chickens died suddenly.
