Turkey: Keskinoglu expands processed poultry production

Turkey’s Keskinoglu Group announces an approx. US$14 mln investment initiative in new facilities for the production of packaged poultry products.

To tap into Turkey’s growing processed poultry market, the new facilities will reportedly have an annual capacity to process 20,000 t of poultry from 103 mln birds. Plans are also underway to add more brands and fully cooked and oven-ready items to the company’s product portfolio.

It is also reported that the Group plans to hire around 10,000 more employees.

Keskinoglu Group of companies’ board member and marketing director Keskin Keskinoglu: “Keskinoglu Group of companies, celebrating its 45th year on the food services arena, has recorded 100% growth in the course of the last 3 years. The company plans to close 2008 year with a 30% increase in both volume and value terms.”
