Tyson Foods meat and poultry producer recently said that structural changes and better market conditions are helping its chicken business.
The US producer’s VP for poultry and prepared foods, Donnie Smith, said at a conference that Tyson’s chicken segment will have a “stronger” third quarter than previously expected. He warned, however, that higher costs and demand for other proteins may affect results later in the year.
“We will continue to focus on improving our business and creating shareholder value,” Smith said.
