Uganda receives $15 million industry boost

The world bank has approved a US$15 million loan to Uganda to be used in boosting and improving the national production of poultry, beef, pork and animal feeds, according to Ugandan ministry of agriculture official, Mr B Kabuye.

Part of the loan will be used to set up a state grandparent farm which is intended to increase the domestic output of broilers, to be processed and exported mainly to regional and Arab markets, where demand for Ugandan broiler meat continues to grow every day.
