USPOULTRY introduces new educational initiative

29-10-2007 | |

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has formed The Poultry & Egg Institute, which will focus on developing and implementing industry-specific education and training programmes to help companies identify and reduce poultry industry property loss and enhance employee safety and retention.

With the help of industry input, the initiative will identify and maintain informational resources to address key industry issues.
“Prior to launching The Poultry & Egg Institute, we talked with industry leaders to assess their needs,” said USPOULTRY President Don Dalton. “This new programme will address such issues as labour needs, employee training, personnel retention, risk assessment and affordable insurance,” he said, adding that it will also provide a resource for companies who do not have the staff to address these topics and also complement our existing educational programmes.
