VIV Europe opens doors for the animal protein industry

Over 570 exhibitors from 39 countries will cover more than 25,000 square metres of floor space on the next VIV Europe to be held from 20-22 April at the Jaarbeurs Exhibition Centre Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Many companies have chosen VIV Europe as the international platform to introduce their innovations to the world.

Background information of the pre-registered visitors points out that more than 40% of the visitors are decision makers. According to interest, pre-registered visitors are interested in all parts of the animal supply chain, though a great amount of visitors has an interest in feed ingredients, additives, raw materials, animal health and farm equipment.

Investment plans

Over 14% of the respondents has the intention to invest between €100,000 – €500,000, more then 11% has the intention to invest between €500,000 and €1,000,000 and over 10% intents to invest more than €1,000,000.

Innovated content

Among the many activities taking place at VIV Europe, the high quality Conference programme takes a central role.
The Opening ceremony, lead by chairman Dr. Aalt Dijkhuizen, chairman executive board Wageningen UR, will contain three lectures.

Prof. Dr. John Hodges, animal geneticist, will give a lecture on Sustainable Agriculture and Food: The Foundation of Quality Life.

This will be followed by a lecture on Global investments in the animal protein sector by Dirk Jan Kennes, Director Research, Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory, the Rabobank.

The third lecture will be given by Mrs. Gerda Verburg, Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands.

Besides this general conference, during the show technical sessions will be given by exhibiting companies. These technical sessions cover topics such as Feed ingredients, Animal Health, Farm equipment and other parts of the Meat supply chain. The technical sessions take place on April 20 and April 21.

Matchmaking

New at VIV Europe is the matchmaking event. Enterprise Europe Network Nederland offers a unique platform for companies to meet new business & co-operation partners and share innovative technologies. Companies can request pre-arranged b2b-meetings according to their time schedule and co-operation interests. This matchmaking event will take place on the 20th and 21st of April at VIV Europe in Utrecht. Participation is free of charge.
