2 Sisters Food Group has invested in four new low-energy farms that will house an extra six million birds a year.

The company has added more than 700,00 sq ft of poultry housing over the last 12 months, with the new building fabrications having a proven track record of using less energy and which allow the farmer to manage ventilation, heating and lighting more effectively.

“Climate change remains a hot topic for us and we want to play our part in helping to manage CO2 emissions and use energy more efficiently, while still growing our business”, a 2 Sisters spokesman said.
