Ukrainian agricultural company Avangard is going to launch the first supplies of eggs to the European Union (EU) in the second half of 2014, according to the press-service of the company.
“Eggs processing plant Imperovo-Foods and Avis poultry complex have passed all the necessary tests to obtain a permission to export production to the European Union,” the company has stated.
In August of this year, the agricultural company also received a certificate that their products have “kosher” status. The report says that this certificate will help Avangard to attract new customers and expand the presence of products in new markets.
The intension to launch the supplies of eggs to the EU has also been expressed by the second largest producer of eggs in Ukraine – Ovostar Union. In July, the company received permission to launch its own supply, and it is expected that the first shipment of dry and liquid egg products will be sent around November 1, 2014.
Deliveries will be carried out within the EU quotas on the import of goods from Ukraine. Ukraine may export to the EU, 3,000 tonnes of eggs in the shell, as well as 3,000 tonnes of processed egg products in 2014.
