Waste water treatment in a poultry processing facility is a delicate operation. World Poultry recently visited a plant in Germany to compile this photo report which examines the steps which need to be taken.

A constant stream of pinkish waste water rushing out of the sieving station in the basement of the plant isn t exactly up to standards. That is where the work of the specialists, Dutch firm Aqua industrial water treatment, member of the MPS group, begins. Meeting discharge limits consistently after water treatment gives the plant its license to produce.
