The latest Aviagen Central and Eastern European (CEE) Flock Awards have taken place, recognising exceptional performances of Ross customers in the region.
The award ceremony allowed Aviagen to reward the fantastic success achieved by Ross customers throughout the CEE region for PS flocks depleted in 2012, with five awards being handed out on the night.
The best performing countries in the region, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary, all received acknowledgement of their success. The overall regional winner was the company Transavia from Romania, with a result of 144 chicks to 60 weeks.
Neil Clark, Aviagen’s Regional Technical Service Manager for Eastern Europe and the CEE region, said: “We have been delighted with the continuous Ross popularity and performance we’re seeing in the CEE region. This success comes down to the combination of hard work and quality stockmanship and the results continue to exceed our breed specifications and are comparable to UK and Western Europe achievements.
“We are now seeing the genetic potential being realised here. We thoroughly enjoy working with our customers and these awards provide us with a great opportunity to pass our huge thanks and rewarding them for all the hard work and commitment shown.”
Winners on the night were recipients of a Flock Awards trophy and a bottle of whisky.
