Hamlet Protein launches HP Avistart
Hamlet Protein, the Danish feed manufacturer, has announced the launch of HP Avistart, a feed for poultry derived from soybeans and yeast.
The product, aimed at the pre-starter poultry market, is designed to be easily digestible, with low levels of anti-nutritional factors that would limit the absorption of feed nutrients.
Hamlet Protein presented data from feeding trials in which broilers fed with 5% HP Avistart in the pre-starter stage had improved daily gain, mortality and feed conversion.
The company feels that an emphasis on improving feed quality at an early stage will prove to be a good investment in supporting broiler growth.
The product is also available in a non-GM version.
