Kazakhstan company Ordabasy cous, is to commence turkey exports to the US and Turkey in the coming months.

The company signed agreements with representatives of the poultry associations of Turkey and America. The first deliveries will not exceed a few tens of thousands of tons, but in the future they will be increased.

Director of the poultry farm Murat Tagaev said at a press-conference that without government support, it would be difficult to launch export supplies of turkey meat. The company is currently involved in the program of forced industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan and working under the subprogram “Exporter 2020”, receiving governmental grants and financial aid on the development of production.

The company currently produces 5,000 tons annually but plans to increase turkey meat production to 10,000 tons in coming years, the heads of Ordabasy cous reported. Experts note that turkey meat from Kazakhstan can be quite competitive in foreign markets, because of its high quality.

The factory of Ordabasy cous is the only one in Central Asia, which produces turkey meat on an industrial scale. The product range exceeds 40 items, from dietary meat to processed products.
