KFC chicken makes a Guinness Record
Qatar Food Company (Americana Group), the franchisee owner of KFC, has set a record for the largest serving of fried chicken at the Villagio Mall.
An adjudicator of the Guinness World Records made the announcement and presented a certificate to the officials. This happened shortly after a giant basket was filled with 300 kg of fried chicken. The total weight was 336 kg, as the basket on its own weighed a whopping 36 kgs!
A stage was set up next to the food court where the basket, reaching 4 feet high, was placed on a digital scale. The fried-chicken, which was prepared at 6 different nearby locations, was transported to the venue.
A large number of curious visitors who had gathered to witness the feat were served the chicken afterwards.
