More attention needed towards consumer satisfaction

Food safety and quality were two significant consumer issues in the 90’s. Public advocacy groups have found common ground with environmentalists and proponents for animal right to create strong pressure groups in EU countries and other industrialised nations. This is reflected in legislation promoting apparent consumer well-being at the expense of producers.
