Hosam Amro, who has almost 30 years’ experience in the poultry industry, has joined Cobb Europe as regional technical manager for the Middle East.
He graduated at the Cairo University veterinary school in 1985 and worked initially in an Egyptian diagnostic laboratory, and then in large-scale poultry production in Saudi Arabia. He was with Aviagen as a veterinary technical manager in Egypt for some 15 years, and joins Cobb from Boehringer Ingelheim.
Matthew Wilson, regional technical services manager of Cobb Europe, welcomed Amro who will be based in Egypt as an important addition to the Cobb team serving the region.
“Hosam has a rich background at all levels of poultry production and brings with him an envious reputation throughout the Middle East,” he said. “His appointment further strengthens the Cobb Europe customer support and focus throughout the Middle East, showing our commitment to a growing and hugely exciting market for broiler meat production.”
