Santa Rosa, a Christchurch based chicken factory is recalling thousands of read-to-eat smoked chicken products because they were not tested properly for listeria.
According to the company the recall is a precautionary measure and there have been no reports of people becoming ill from eating the products.
The products affected are all ready-to-eat Santa Rosa smoked chicken products with batch numbers between 5206 and 5559.
