Newcastle disease outbreak in Bulgaria
Bulgarian authorities have reported an outbreak of Newcastle disease in the northwest region of the country and ordered the culling of all infected birds.

The veterinary services ordered the culling of all infected poultry in the area to prevent a further spread of the disease among the 13,000 hens, turkeys and other birds raised in the village.
A ban on trading poultry and poultry products was also imposed in the area and all people were urged to keep their birds penned in. There are no industrial poultry farms in the region, local authorities said.
