A new feed processing technique has been developed which enables the use of high amounts of unground cereals in pelleted and/or crumbled poultry feeds. The documented benefits of this procedure include improved feed utilisation; better technical quality of the pelleted feed, and reduced feed production cost. In addition, the use of whole cereals has been claimed to improve the gut health. No wonder then that more than 80 percent of poultry feed on the Norwegian marked now contains whole cereals by the use of this procedure.
