Ukrainian egg producer, Ovostar Union increased net profit by 29% in 2013 in a year-to-year comparison, the company said in a statement.
In addition, the company also announced its intention to increase egg production by 23-34% this year, up to 1.1-1.2 billion pieces.
According to the presentation of the company, the production of dry egg products in the current year will be increased by 9.6-24.2% – up to 1,500-1,700 tonnes, liquid by 9.4-24% to 7,500 – 8,500 tonnes.
The company also plans to increase the number of bird places from 5.4 million in 2013 to 5.8-6.4 million.
As reported, Ovostar Union in 2013 increased egg production by 24% compared with 2012 – up to 893 million pieces. The poultry stock on its poultry farms in the past year rose by 19% to 5 million heads.
