Seara Brazil announced it will implement the SuperAgroTech platform which will include its 9,000 integrated producers into ‘digital farming’.
The system consists of operating tools for broiler management and a benefit program to reward farmers efficiency.
The platform will enable 100% digital management to farmers as of this month. This means that all routine, reports and documentation will operate in a digital cloud, generating process improving and time saving. The integrated growers will also take advantage of an exclusive e-commerce for supplies and equipment, a communication channel, special credit conditions and real-time monitoring of the farms.
The SuperAgroTech platform is a pioneering initiative, which will guarantee personalised service and multiple benefits
Seara has created this comprehensive structure to accelerate advances on the farms and support producers at their management of business resources. To do that, the company formed partnerships with Google Cloud, technology startups and financial institutions. “We want to support our affiliated producers with resources to allow they make best decisions, consequently having more profitability. The SuperAgroTech platform is a pioneering initiative, which will guarantee personalised service and multiple benefits for them,” says Rafael Sousa, executive director of Technological Innovation at Seara.
An innovative methodology will enable them to enjoy some benefits. The Score Seara, namely, will indicate farmer´s producing performance, credit potential, besides social and environmental indicators to create overall parameters for the growers. Better scores mean more credit facilities, as well as discounts at the e-commerce, available through application, to purchase items necessary for the operation of the farms, as equipment, supplies and fuel.
“Every penny saved becomes a gain for them, in addition to having a more sustainable farm. This score uses a methodology validated by financial institutions and also offers social and environmental indicators, which are increasingly valued by the market. Our company has robust expansion plans and our growers are pivotal for that aim,” says Sousa.

As part of the platform, a pilot project of IoT Sensors is underway on farms that serve Seara´s units in Forquilhinha (SC) and Montenegro (RS). The sensors will allow real-time monitoring about ambient temperature and humidity, air quality and weight, as well welfare and animal behaviour. The system uses connectivity and artificial intelligence in order to increase productivity and efficiency about water and energy usage, in addition to increasing biosecurity, by reducing visitors presence inside poultry houses.
Furthermore, farmers will have more freedom to follow the farm from a distance, guaranteeing good results and quality of life. The expectation is to share these technologies on all integrated farms in the next year.
Seara’s director of Agricultural Excellence, José Antonio Ribas, adds one of the most important contributions of this project is to keep young people in countryside, by making the activity more interesting for new generations. “Families pass this tradition to their children and that means growth and new jobs. This platform is a step forward to improve the quality of life for them, communication between the company and partners and generate more and more value on the activity throughout improving efficiency and sustainability aspects,” concludes Ribas.
