The US state of Tennessee’s exports of frozen chicken to Angola are rising, with the African nation quickly becoming the state’s fastest growing export market.

Angola is booming, but its agriculture sector is still far behind having been devastated by three decades of civil war. But with Angolan oil, the country has the financial means to pay for food imports, but naturally shop around for the best price.

Each year, Tennessee exports more than $70 million in poultry. So far, Angola’s share accounts for $5 million of that.
