Tyson takes closer look at antibiotic-free chicken ads

30-01-2008 | | |

Tyson Foods is revamping advertisements for its antibiotic-free chicken products after rivals alleged false and misleading advertising.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Tyson Foods brushed off competitors’ allegations and said it had already independently changed the advertising.
The company state that no advertisements were approved to run after 20 January 2008, but it is reported that competitors claimed they saw the ads on the air after that date.
The paper called it the latest setback for the Arkansas-based chicken producer, which has been touting its line of antibiotic-free chicken as part of a $70 million advertising campaign.
