Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Adamu, of the Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria, Kano State branch, has expressed doubts over eradication of bird flu in the country.

Adamu said the disease claimed more than 600,000 birds in the country when it broke out last year, saying it was likely to wreak more havoc unless something was done to stop it.
The association’s chairman said the virus resurfaced in some parts of the country, and warned that it could cause more economic and psychological trauma for poultry farmers.
